The Bostonair Group provides recruitment, line maintenance and technical training services to the aviation industry. To the energy industry we provide recruitment services and training courses through Boston Energy.
We also provide renewable energy, storage and other low-carbon solutions through Boston Renewables to the commercial sector.
The Boston Air Group tasked us with designing and building four websites. These sites had to follow their brand guidelines and be consistent so the site looked and felt like part of the BA Group.
We did consider using a multisite setup but the sites were going to be managed by multiple people so needed to be standalone but easy to use.
The new websites were also designed mobile first as they would be used extensively on tablet and mobile.
We started with our usual procedure and that was to meet the client and discuss all of their idea’s, visions and goals for the new websites.
We wanted to know how the client envisioned the websites and their fundamental goal. This helped us out with our planning and layouts and allowed us to focus on the key functionality.
the development setup was broken into teams to allow us to develop multiple sites at the same time increasing the capacity to deliver more than one site at a time.
The technologies we use are always thoroughly evaluated and considered in conjunction with the client’s needs and future scalability.
Bostonair needed various different platforms and languages for the four projects we built. All the sites needed to be responsive, scalable and flexible as well as user-friendly and based around outstanding UX design.
The Boston Air group needed their online presence to be uniformed to ensure their brand was consistent across the group.
The websites we designed and built had growth, user experience, scalability and flexibility in mind. With the online sales aspect of the websites, we designed them to ensure the user journey was as simple as possible.
The Boston air websites needed to perform for the business as they play a large part of there sales strategy. we needed to have this goal at the heart of what we produced for them.
The websites need to have the ability to adapt and evolve with the business and its needs as the market shift. They also need to be easy to use and optimise and we felt the WordPress CMS was the best option for ensuring the desired requests were met.
