Accommodation Warehouse was formed over 30 years ago by a group of property professionals who realised the ‘traditional private landlord’ was not providing the quality of service students in Hull expect and deserve.
Since then we have constantly improved both our student accommodation and systems to provide the best service possible. When choosing your property through us we provide a free collection service and do evening viewings making the process of picking your home for the next year as stress-free as possible.
The team at AW approached us to work with them to design and build a new website to reflect their position as a market leader in this area.
The old site had been up a couple of years but hadn’t evolved with the company, who have gone from strength to strength in recent years. Ross had a clear vision as to the direction they would like to go and put his idea’s across clearly for the team to create a comprehensive brief of what the project required.
AW wanted a new site that would be future proof, easy to use and had a clear and easy CMS that the team at AW could manage themselves allowing them complete control over their own website.
The kick-off meeting involved the client, project manager, head developer and lead designer which resulted in the plan for the new website project.
It was decided to meet the clients goals for the site and stipulations around use that WordPress was the best solution for them. We worked with the client to map out the user flow and sitemap for the new site as well as producing wireframes.
The design process went through our usual process which allowed for a smooth transition and handover to the development team through to testing. After some extensive testing in our device lab, the site was passed to the client to check and run through, allowing for a last-minute review and amend session before retesting and sign off.
The technology used for this project was very easy to decide as it fitted perfectly with the client’s requirements.
As per our usual methodology, we started with Mobile designs and moved onto desktop ensuring that the new website was perfect on all formats. With current user visits at around 70% mobile and tablet this way of working allows us to produce near perfect UX.
AW has an outstanding reputation within the market. They wanted a really easy to use website for their clients.
The new website needed to be future proof and grow with the company. It also had to have comprehensive analytical tools so AW could monitor the level of engagement through the website.
We provided training for the team at AW on how to use the new site and created a super user who could pass on their knowledge to the AW team.
